titleOfInvention Method of surgical treatment of kohn romano syndrome
abstract FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology. n SUBSTANCE: epicantus is removed by dissecting excessive tissue in inner corner, exposing medial commissure and fixing lateral part to the place of its attachment to periosteum in inner corner by allotendinous suture. Additionally, in the process of operation performed are widening of palpebral fissure outward by deep cantotomy, dissection of skin triangles in region of eye-lash ending, which are taken-in with formation of normal contours of palpebral fissure. External ligament is formed by sewing deep layers of skin and mobilised conjunctiva to periosteum of eye-socket outer corner with further submerging of allotendinous suture knot deep into tissues. Ptosis is removed by transconjunctival hanging of upper eyelid to frontal muscle on allotendinous threads. n EFFECT: method ensures reconstruction and correction of palpebral fissure form, reduction of traumaticity and elimination of post-operation complications. n 4 dwg, 2 ex
