abstract FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of synthesis of sulfur-containing organic compounds, which can be used in production of additives to lubricating oils. Sulfur-containing compounds are obtained by interaction of norbornene, endo- or exodicyclopentadiene with elemental sulfur in presence of 0.5-2.0% from the weight of the said compounds of catalyst, i.e. 1-(N,N-dimethylaminomethyl)-benzotriazole.
