titleOfInvention Neuro-electronic multi-channel fiber-optic interface
abstract FIELD: automatics. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automatics. The device incorporates a pack of fiber-optical waveguides combined, on the signal output side, into a flat optical matrix of fiber-optic connector and is connected to a multi-channel matrix comprising light-emitting and light-sensitive cells arranged staggered so that at least one light-emitting and one light-sensitive cell fall on every end face of the said waveguide. On the side facing every waveguide end has a neuronic structure, an active nano-structure incorporating a liquid-crystal modulator sensitive to electric field or to magnetohydroacoustic pulses originating during operation on neurons. Light is transmitted via waveguides to the said neuronic structure. The active nano-structure arranged on the end of every optical fiber helps modulate the light beam in every waveguide depending upon the nearest neuron activity and reflect it back into the said multi-channel matrix to be get converted into electrical form in the light-sensitive cell. n EFFECT: chances of use in prosthetic devices, rehabilitation of paralysed people, in control of production processes, motor vehicles, weapons, for direct output of audio, video, sensor, motor and logical data form neuronic structures for production of invisible control and communication hardware. n 4 cl, 9 dwg
