titleOfInvention | New vegetable glucan as immunoadjuvant |
abstract | FIELD: medicine, pharmacology. n SUBSTANCE: substance, capable to activate formation of corresponding cytokines that regulate lymphocyte functions to receive high and specific humoral and cellular responses to infectious pathogens, and to low-immunogenic agents and vaccines as well, was obtained from aqueous extract of potato sprouts. It is characterised by certain molecular weight, represents a polysaccharide chain with predominant β-(1-4)- glucoside bonds, and comprise defined content of saccharides; the substance being insoluble in organic solvents and well soluble in salt solutions with pH lower than 6. n EFFECT: above described substance activates effectively formation of corresponding cytokines. |
