titleOfInvention | Method of elimination of external filtration caused by fistulisation antiglaucome operations |
abstract | FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology. n SUBSTANCE: in case external filtration takes place as a result of antiglaucoma operations with local anaesthesia applied conjunctival wound edges are freshened and interrupted suturing follows. Viscoelastic Provisc is introduced under conjunctiva through external fistula. Specified viscoelastic prevents moisture flowing and blocks external filtration area. Within operation area projection on the surface conjunctiva is covered with Viscoate layer providing incision edge adaptation and holding conjunctiva donor flap in required position. The whole area of antiglaucoma operation and surrounding regions are covered with single flap of donor conjunctiva. Flap is lined with interrupted sutures to autologous conjunctiva 4-5 mm away from area of antiglaucoma operation. n EFFECT: method provides improved clinical effect of operation; prevents intraocular moisture flowing outside with restoration of anterior chamber; restores eyeball tone; forms filter pillow and protects interrupted sutures from penetration. n 1 ex |
