FIELD: physics. n SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to a lithium secondary battery, in particular to a high voltage battery with a cut-off voltage not more than 4.35V. According to the invention, the lithium secondary battery consists of a cathode (K), anode (A), a separator and an electrolyte. The electrolyte contains (a) a compound with a nitrile group, and (b) a compound with a reaction potential of 4.7 V or more. n EFFECT: improved high temperature cycling characteristics and safety of the battery, prevention of battery inflation and decrease of capacity efficiency in conditions of high-temperature (>80°C) storage. n 14 cl, 11 dwg, 1 tbl, 16 ex |
