abstract FIELD: technological processes; measurement. n SUBSTANCE: invention is related to investigation of hydrocarbon fuels. Antiwear properties of diesel fuels are determined on vibration tribometer with friction pair ball-plate, which are manufactured from material of required quality. Sample is taken, a layer of sample is applied on the plate, friction condition is created at back-and-forth motion of ball with diameter of 10 mm on the plate with frequency of 50 Hz and travel length of 1+0.01 mm with axial load applied to the ball, and then the antiwear properties of analysed material are estimated by diameter of wear stain produced on the ball. The testing of sample with volume of 0.2 cm is performed for 20 minutes with fuel temperature of 60°C and axial load of 42 H. n EFFECT: increase of authenticity and accuracy of diesel fuels antiwear properties determination with simultaneous reduction of labour intensity and duration of tests. n 2 dwg
