titleOfInvention Method of initial keratoconus treatment
abstract FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology. n SUBSTANCE: "Bioplast" material is impregnated with immuno-tropic preparation "Super Lymph". A strip of "Bioplast" is inserted projective to the ectasia of the cornea 3 mm away from the limbo through a 2 mm cut in the conjunctive and the Tenon' s capsule. The method can be used to treat keratoconus at early stages by biological activation of the limbo zone of the cornea by "Bioplast" material. The speed of cornea epithelization increases, and the defect in the Bowman's membrane is compensated by better synthesis of glycosaminoglycanes and collagen of IV Type. n EFFECT: prevention of excessive aseptic inflammation and blood flow deficiency in the limbo vessel system. n 3 ex
