abstract | FIELD: nuclear power engineering, environment protection, recovery of highly active reactor graphite waste excluding escape of radionuclides into environment. n SUBSTANCE: proposed method that can be primarily used when decommissioning uranium-graphite reactors is distinguished from that commonly used in that fragments of reactor structures in the form of fragments of fuel elements and absorber elements are added to mixture of crushed reactor graphite waste, powdered aluminum, rutile concentrate, and modifier, proportion of mixture components being as follows, mass percent: crushed reactor graphite waste, 6-9; powdered aluminum, 20-28; rutile concentrate, 48-60; modifier, 2-10; reactor structure fragments, 1-20; in addition, blasting charge is arranged over entire height of cylindrical space disposed on axial line of mixer introduced in container for heat treatment. n EFFECT: enhanced content of highly active waste in end product, improved structure of the latter, ability of excluding escape of radionuclides into environment. n 1 cl, 3 ex, 1 tbl |
