abstract |
FIELD: manufacture of optical fibers with hardened polymer coats. n SUBSTANCE: proposed optical fiber has glass part and at least one layer of protective coat which embraces glass part. Layer of protective coat is characterized within temperature range of from -40 C to +60 C by magnitude of modulus of elasticity between 5 Mpa and 600 Mpa; difference (V 1 ) between modulus of elasticity measured at temperature of -40 C and that measured at temperature +60 C does not exceed 495 Mpa for protective layer. It is preferable that modulus of elasticity does not exceed 500 Mpa and more preferable 450 Mpa and most preferable 300 Mpa.
