titleOfInvention Surgical method for treating progressive myopia cases
abstract FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out layer-by-layer conjunctiva and Tenon's membrane incisions to episclera in superoexterior, superointerior, inferoexterior and inferointerior quadrants. Pocket is formed between episclera and Tenon's membrane in meridional direction towards posterior eye pole using blunt-ended conjunctival scissors. When moved with spatula each of the four transplants is arranged in a way that one of the surfaces is to be completely adjacent to episclera. Transplant edge proximal relative to the incision is lifted and 1-2 bioglue drops is placed on episclera in projection proximal relative to the incision of one-third ofeach transplant and pressed against episclera to reach full fixation. n EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in achieving the most regular transplant position on episclera near posterior eyeball pole without twisting and deformations; reduced risk of transplant deflection and cosmetic defects in early and remote postoperative period. n 2 dwg
