titleOfInvention Surgical method for treating glaucoma cases
abstract FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: method involves forming conjunctival flap after having done retrobulbar anesthesia. The flap is turned with its base towards conjunctiva fornix. After having made incision along the limb, it is continued at an angle to outside in the upper external quadrant. U-shaped superficial scleral graft is cut out. Intraocular fluid discharge paths are built with Descemet membrane being retained. Tunnel is built from the same incision that is arranged relative to superior oblique muscle attachment place beginning 11 mm far from the limb towards posterior pole under the internal Tenon's capsule leaflet. The tunnel is arranged along 11 o'clock meridian on the right eye and 1 o'clock meridian on the left eye. 10 mg of Cortexin dissolved in 1 ml of physiologic saline is introduced into the built canal. Continuous suture is placed on conjunctiva. n EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; reduced risk of traumatic and postoperative syndromes; improved antioxidant action; reduced anti-inflammatory TNF cytokine level in blood serum; prevented apoptosis development. n 1 dwg
