abstract FIELD: oil-producing industry; petrochemical industry; other industries; methods of destruction of the polymeric materials. n SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the method of destruction of the polymeric materials, such as polyoctene. The method allows to obtain the powders, which may be used in production of the antiturbulent additive compounds for decrease of the hydrodynamic resistance of the crude oil flow at its transfer, and also for creation of the glue compositions, the roofing materials, the road carpets and the polymeric paints. The lumps of the polyoctene are dipped into the cryogenic liquid and exposed to the action of the high-voltage discharges between the electrodes located in the cryogenic liquid, which is added with calcium stearate in amount of no less than 6 mass % of the mass of the being destructed polyoctene. For formation of the high-voltage discharges use the electric pulses with the rate of the voltage rise of no less than 400 kV/μs, which in the cryogenic medium are forming the steam-gaseous cavities with the diameter of no less than 0.04 m. The method allows to decrease the power inputs at production of the qualitative powder of the polyoctene. n EFFECT: the invention ensures reduction of the power inputs at production of the qualitative polyoctene powder. n 2 cl, 2 dwg, 3 tbl
