abstract FIELD: water treatment. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to developing sorption materials for cleaning and disinfecting water and aqueous media, including body fluids, and provides biocidal polymeric sorbent comprising porous ion-exchange polymer material having developed surface, onto which biocidal modifying component is applied, in particular staircase-type heterocyclic compound: 1,3,6,8-tetraazatricyclo[4.4.1.13,8]dodecane (teotropin) in amount of 1.5-4 mole per 1 g ion-exchange polymer material.
