abstract FIELD: chemistry of polymers, medicine. n SUBSTANCE: invention describes covers for medicinal device made of metal. Cover comprises polymerized derivative of alkoxysilane bound covalently with surface of medicinal device, lactone polymer bound covalently with functional groups of polymerized derivative of alkoxysilane by the in situ polymerization process accompanying with the cycle opening, and at least one layer of polyester applied on bound lactone. Biologically active agents can be applied together with layers of polyester. Such cover-containing surfaces can be used in medicinal devices, in particular, in stents.
