abstract | FIELD: analytical methods. n SUBSTANCE: invention, in particular, relates to determining mass percentage of basic substance of monoester mixture: methylphosphonic acid isopropyl ester, pinacolin ester, and isobutyl ester by titration in presence of chemical indicators. Method is characterized by analyzing aqueous solutions methylphosphonic acid monoesters by treating sample with excess of 0.1 N sodium hydroxide solution, after which sample is kept for 30 min and then titrated with 0.1 N aqueous hydrochloric acid solution in presence of bromthymol blue indicator until color of solution changes from blue to yellow-green. Under similar conditions, control experiment is carried out and in both cases volume of consumed 0.1 N HCl is registered to determine mass percentage of basic substance. n EFFECT: simplified analytical procedure and increased accuracy of analysis. n 3 tbl |
