abstract FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. n SUBSTANCE: briquette is produced by molding the charge containing carbon-bearing materials and iron-bearing materials, fluxing additives and binder. Used as iron-bearing material is trifolin. Ratio of components in the briquette is as follows, mass-%: trifolin, 60-75; coal, 15-30; cement, 5-12. n EFFECT: increased productivity of blast furnaces due to improved drainage capacity of hearth; reduced consumption of coke; enhanced efficiency of wastes.
