abstract | FIELD: inorganic chemistry; methods of synthesis of the organic and inorganic compounds. n SUBSTANCE: the invention is intended for the inorganic chemistry and may be used at the synthesis of the organic and inorganic compounds. The compressed carbon oxide is produced by the steam-phase dehydration of the formic acid or its water solutions at presence of the heterogeneous acid catalysts and at the temperature of 170-300°C and the air pressure of 15-100 atm. It is possible to use the catalysts on the basis of phosphoric acid and-or the acid phosphates of the metals the II-III-d group of the Periodic system of the elements.
