titleOfInvention Method of purification of the lithium-containing solutions from the sodium and calcium ions
abstract FIELD: chemical industry; non-ferrous metallurgy; other industries; methods of purification of the lithium-containing solutions from the ions of sodium and calcium. n SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the method of purification of the lithium-containing solutions from the ions of sodium and calcium and may be used in chemical, metallurgical and other industries for deep purification of the technological solutions and the natural raw brines containing the sodium and calcium impurities. The solute is subjected to purification in the adsorption column having the double-layer sorbent for the sodium and calcium ions separation. The upper layer of the sorbent is made on the basis of the porous composite carbon-carbonic material having the turbostratic mesoporous structure of the preliminary oxidized by the air oxygen at the temperature of 390-410°C within one hour and modified by the hydrolyzed antimony (V) compounds. The lower layer of the sorbent represents the oxidized at the temperature of 200-400°C carbonic-carbon material. The purification is conducted at pH 3-12. Regeneration of the sorbent is conducted with the help of the mixture of the solutions consisting of 1 n-hydrochloric acid solution and 0.1-n lithium hydroxide solution in the ratio of 1:10. The invention ensures production of the high quality metallic lithium due to the increased purity of the lithium salts. n EFFECT: the invention ensures production of the high quality metallic lithium. n 2 cl, 4 tbl, 5 ex, 7 dwg
