abstract | FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: method involves cutting out corneal donor graft, placing and fixing it in opening produced when excising pathologically changed recipient cornea region. The corneal graft is covered with amniotic sac disk. The excised recipient cornea disk is placed over it. The disks laid over the graft are fixed with interrupted sutures to trepanation wound rim for 4-5 days. Then, the amniotic sac disk and excised recipient cornea disk are withdrawn. n EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; reduced risk of postoperative complications; accelerated epithelialization process; reduced edema manifestations. |
