FIELD: solutions for manufacture of fire-resistant glazing containing water-soluble aluminate and water glass; production of swelling intermediate layers from such solutions which may be contained in fire-resistant glazing. n SUBSTANCE: transparent stable aqueous solution contains water glass on base of alkaline metal silicate, water-soluble aluminate and hydroxy carboxylic acid and may additionally contain polyatomic compound. Transparent swelling intermediate layer is obtained by drying the said solution under controllable conditions. Glass sheet has such intermediate layer on one its surface. Laminated glazing includes one or several intermediate layers and two or more glass sheets. Proposed method consists in adding solution containing water-soluble aluminate, hydroxy carboxylic acid and polyatomic compound to solution of alkaline metal silicate.
