titleOfInvention | Surgical method for treating gerontological epiphora cases |
abstract | FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: method involves exposing round eyelid ligament and suturing it with capsulopalpebral head and external round ligament fascicle with Alloplant thread and fixing it under tension to periosteum of the external orbit edge 3-4 mm laterally relative to attachment places of natural eyelid ligament. Allotendinal thread tension is controlled by lower tear point reposition into lacrimal lake. The capsulopalpebral head and external round ligament fascicle is sutured with allotendinal Alloplant thread with duplicature being created. The thread is tied without tension. Postoperative wound is covered by means of layer-by-layer suturing with nonabsorbable sutures being placed. Two interrupted silk sutures are placed over cantotomic wound edges. The sutures are removed 5 days later. n EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; reduced risk of position hypercorrection and postoperative granulomas and abscesses. n 1 tbl |
