titleOfInvention Method of fast carburizing of steel
abstract FIELD: chemical and heat treatment of steel parts. n SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes at least three cycles of heating to temperature above Ac 3 and cooling to temperature below Ar 1 . Heating and cooling are performed in solid carburizer. Heating is effected by bursts of electromagnetic radiation pulses to temperature of 120±10K. Cooling is continued to temperature of 910±10K. Rate of heating and cooling does not exceed 1K/s. Holding time at extreme temperatures is about 2 min. n EFFECT: enhanced wear resistance of coat possessing high hardness and strength. n 1 dwg, 1 ex
