abstract FIELD: transport engineering. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of front or rear part of automobile and to units used as buffer systems. According to first design version, method of manufacture of automobile unit containing structural member made of molded plastic material with low surface energy and reinforcement member connected to structural member, with members provided with mating surface, comes to the following: sticky substance is applied to mating surface of structural member and/or reinforcement member, then mating surfaces of reinforcement member and structural member are brought in contact and adhesive material is left for hardening to connect structural member and reinforcement member. Said substance is coupled with plastic featuring low surface energy, and structural member is used without machining to improve coupling before application of adhesive substance. According to second design version, adhesive substance is used having polymerizing compound. Unit of automobile contains structural member made of molded plastic material with low surface energy and reinforcement member fastened to structural member. Structural member and reinforcement member have mating surface and they are held together by means of adhesive substance coupling with backing whose surface energy is low, over length of at least part of one or both mating surfaces. Structural member is used without mashing for improved coupling before application of adhesive substance. n EFFECT: dispensing with mechanical fastening of automobile buffer systems. n 10 cl, 11 dwg
