titleOfInvention Method for treating glaucomatous optic neuropathy
abstract FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology. n SUBSTANCE: after subtotal vitrectomy one should contrast a posterior hyaloid membrane due to injecting corticosteroid suspension into vitreous cavity to maximally completely remove it. Then one should make one radial incision of scleral ring from nasal side of optic disk in nonvascular area for the depth of about 0.5-0.8 mm. In area of incision it is, also, necessary to conduct exfoliation and division of nervous fibers. Then comes tamponade of vitreous cavity with a perfluoroorganic compound (PFOC) and in 7 d PFOC should be substituted with physiological solution that contains 5 mg retinalamine. The innovation enables to achieve improvement and stabilization of visual functions and widen patient's vision field, improve hemodynamics of optic disk and retina, decrease the index of resistivity in central retinal artery and short ciliary arteries, maximally decrease the risk of such complications as lesion of nervous fibers during operation, the appearance of hemorrhages in the site of incision and postoperational retinal fibrosis. n EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy. n 2 ex
