abstract FIELD: experimental nuclear physics. n SUBSTANCE: detector comprises pressure-tight housing filled with gas mixture at atmospheric pressure and having two gas spaces separated with anode interposed between two amplifying grids and two cathodes made of a metal foil. The anodes, cathodes, and grids are parallel one to the other. The cathodes represent inlet and outlet ports. The anode is multi-layered. One side of the load-bearing film is provided with a layer for converting neutrons covered with a thin dielectric layer. Two layers of aluminum signal ways are applied from the side of converting layer and anode. The ways are separated with dielectric ways.
