Metal sulfide precipitate treatment |
abstract |
FIELD: inorganic compounds technology. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of preventing or alleviating problems associated with precipitation of metal sulfides in industrial water systems and can be, in particular, used in petroleum and paper industries. Method of treating precipitates of metal sulfides in water system containing or contacting metal sulfide deposit comprises (i) adding, separately or jointly, sufficient amount of phosphorus compound selected from tris(hydroxymethyl)phosphine compounds or salts thereof and sufficient amount of aminocarboxylate or aminophosphonate chelating agent to produce solution containing 0.1 to 50% tris(hydroxymethyl)phosphine or its salt and 0.1 to 50% chelating agent and (ii) bringing thus obtained solution into contact with deposit so that at least part of metal sulfide deposit dissolves and is withdrawn from the system. n EFFECT: enabled inhibition, diminishing, dissolution, or dispertion of metal sulfide precipitates in water systems. n 46 cl, 1 tbl |
