abstract FIELD: medicine, orthopedics. n SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with treating patients with synovial cysts of popliteal area and could be applied in surgical and orthopedic departments specialized in treating articular pathology. One should carry out cyst's chromatic contrasting due to introducing about 20-40 ml 0.5%-methylele blue solution into superior inversion of a knee joint. Then it is necessary to conduct maximal bending and unbending of a shin 3-5 times. One should surgically isolate and dissect a cyst, then it is necessary to bend and unbend a shin twice or thrice. According to methylene blue outflowing out of knee joint's cavity one should detect the localization and length of anastomosis. The latter should be sutured with interrupted sutures. Then it is suggested to inspect the sealing of anastomosis suturing in the capsule of knee joint by bending and unbending a shin twice or thrice. In case of no sealing in articular cavity in the sites of methylene blue outflowing it is useful to apply additional sutures till complete hermetic sealing.
