titleOfInvention Method for diagnosis of dermatomycosis and nutrient medium for dermatophytes
abstract FIELD: medicine mycology and clinical microbiology. n SUBSTANCE: diagnosis of dermatomycosis is carried out by seeding of dermatophytes from clinical material in dense selective Sabouraud's medium with addition of antibiotic levomycetine and keratin hydrolyzate, obtained from chicken feather. Claimed nutrient medium contains (g/l): glucose 40.0; peptone 10.0; agar 18.0-20.0; keratin hydrolyzate (as calculated to dry matter) 10.0-20.0; levomycetine 50000 U; and balance: distilled water. Seeding in incubated at 22-24°C for 4-8 days followed by identification of colony species. Method is most effective in isolation from clinical materials dermatophyte fungi cultures, such as Microsporum canis, Trichophyton verrucosum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes var.gypseum, Trichophyton rubrum. n EFFECT: accelerated method for isolation and identification of dermatophyte fungi cultures from clinical materials. n 5 tbl, 5 ex
