abstract | FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for continuous preparing mononitrotoluenes. Invention describes a method for continuous preparing mononitrotoluenes by interaction of toluene with nitric acid and sulfuric acid under isothermal conditions of the reaction wherein the following stages are carried out: (a) addition of 75-93% sulfuric acid, 60-70% nitric acid and toluene into reactor; (b) separation of crude nitrotoluene from depleted sulfuric acid is carried out in reactor outlet; (c) depleted sulfuric acid is concentrated up to 75-93% in a single-stage concentrating process; (d) concentrated depleted sulfuric acid is recovered again in the nitration reaction by circulation process. Invention provides the development of new isothermal method for continuous preparing mononitrotoluenes that allows carrying out the concentrating depleted sulfuric acid with reduced consumptions and its the following recirculation in the nitration reaction without enrichment of concentrated sulfuric acid with by-side organic substances. n EFFECT: improved preparing method. n 10 cl, 2 ex |
