abstract FIELD: medicine, gynecology. n SUBSTANCE: in follicular liquid one should detect the content of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and β-fibroblast growth factor (β-FGF). It is necessary to calculate prognostic index (PI) by the following formula: PI=0.0027*X+Y*(+8.9626*10 -7 *Y-3.0827*10 -6 *X)-0.1448, where X - the quantity of TNF-α, Y - the quantity of β-FGF. The result being below 0.3038 illustrates favorable result for in-vitro fertilization. At its value being equal or above 0.3038 one should predict unfavorable result of in-vitro fertilization.
