FIELD: medicine, laboratory diagnostics. n SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with predicting diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPNP) in children and teenagers who suffer insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus. In peripheral blood one should serologically study brain neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and at its value being above 9000 pg/ml one should diagnose subclinical DPNP stage. Thus, it has been developed a highly sensitive and accurate method for predicting the onset of diabetic peripheral neuropathy. n EFFECT: higher accuracy of prediction. n 3 ex |
