abstract | FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out trans-esophageal echocardiographic examination of patients having mechanical bicuspid cardiac valves implanted. Mechanical artificial bicuspid cardiac valve function, locking member movement nature and availability of floating and immobile additional echo signals is assessed in prosthesis projection region. Pressure gradient is calculated at the valve level. Effective prosthesis area and paraprosthetic regurgitation intensity degree is calculated.
