abstract FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the improved method for preparing aniline derivative of the formula (I): wherein n means a whole number from 1 to 5; R means hydrogen atom, alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, alkylamino-, dialkylamino-group, alkenyl, alkynyl, alkoxy-, alkylthio-group, phenyl, naphthyl, phenoxy-, phenylthio-group, halogen atom, hydroxyl, mercapto-group, carboxyl, sulfo-, nitro-, nitroso-, hydroxylamino-group or heterocyclyc, or if n above 1 then two adjacent substitutes can form the condensed heterocyclic 5-7-membered oxygen-containing ring. Method involves reaction of nitro-compound of the formula (II): wherein n and R have abovementioned values with hydrazine at increased temperature in aqueous base medium used as a solvent. Also, invention relates to new compound: 3-methyl-7-nitro-3H-isobenzofuran-1-one. Method provides simplifying the process due to exclusion a catalyst and in retaining the yield and quality of prepared compounds.
