abstract | FIELD: building elements of relatively thin form for the construction of parts of buildings, particularly fire-resistant gypsum panels. n SUBSTANCE: panel has gypsum-based core and outer layers made of fiberglass mat covered with coating composition from outer surface thereof. The coating composition comprises mineral filler selected from group consisting of hydrated alumina, calcium carbonate or mixture thereof and organic binder. Panel manufacturing method involves preparing gypsum composition by mixing above components with water in stirring means; applying above composition on uncoated surface of at least one fiberglass mat provided with coating on another surface thereof; shaping the mat and connecting the second mat with coating to outer surface of gypsum composition; forming panel sides if necessary by pressing newly-produced panel with the use of profiled bands, wherein above panel side forming results in panel side thickness decrease; hardening hydratable calcium sulfate of above gypsum composition in presence of water during panel movement along production line conveyer; cutting the band into panels having predetermined length and drying the ready panels.
