titleOfInvention Method for removing coloboma of the inferior eyelid
abstract FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology. n SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with the ways to remove coloboma of the inferior eyelid at no underlying part of cartilaginous plate. One should perform wide conjunctival separation around coloboma for the depth of 3-5 mm against its edge, apply 1-3 Frost sutures onto the upper edge of separated conjunctiva: the first needle's puncture in should be performed into the skin of superciliary area at puncture out being 3 mm lower, the second puncture in should be made parallel to the upper edge of conjunctiva at puncture out being 3 mm against the site of puncture in, and the third puncture in should be performed into the skin of superciliary area being on the same horizontal line at the site of the first puncture out being 3 mm against it, and puncture out being parallel to the site of the first puncture in. Frost sutures should be tightened up to achieve coincidence of the upper edge of separated conjunctiva and intermarginal edge of patients eyelid. Then one should dissect skin flap of desired size from the upper eyelid or out of parotid area, apply the flap onto separated conjunctiva to be sutured up to the edge of coloboma with interrupted sutures. n EFFECT: higher efficiency. n 1 cl, 1 ex
