FIELD: organic chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, pharmacy. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a compound named perciquinnine of the molecular formula C 12 H 16 O 3 that can be prepared by culturing fungus ST 001837 (DSM 13303) belonging to basidiomycetes Stereum complicatum and to its pharmaceutically acceptable salts used as inhibitors of lipase. Perciquinnine is prepared by a method involving culturing basidiomycetes of species ST 001837 (DSM 13303) belonging to class of basidiomycetes Stereum complicatum under aerobic conditions in nutrient medium containing carbon and nitrogen sources followed by its isolation and purification.
