Drive belt with reduced degree of extension |
abstract |
FIELD: machine building, in particular, drive belts and procedure of their manufacture. n SUBSTANCE: drive belt 10 has belt body 12 comprising a compound of solidified elastomer, component 18 in the form of a helical cord operating for extension, included in the belt body and comprising yarn including carbon fiber with modulus of elasticity at tension within 50 Gpa to 350 Gpa, composition of cord impregnation covering at least part of the carbon fiber. The composition of the cord impregnation includes elastomeric latex and the product of reaction of resorcinol-formaldehyde. The composition of cord impregnation has a modulus of elasticity from 1.0 x 10 6 Nm -2 to 5.0 x 10 7 Nm -2 at a temperature of 20 C and/or from 5.0 x 10 5 Nm -2 to 4.0 x 10 7 Nm -2 at a temperature of 100 C. n EFFECT: enhanced service life of the belt. n 12 cl, 2 dwg, 3 tbl |
