abstract | FIELD: veterinary science. n SUBSTANCE: one should apply intrapleural novocaine-antibiotic blockade in combination with intramuscular injection of 10%-erancond-B solution at the dosage of 3.0 -3.5 mg/kg body weight for the first 4-5 d of therapy. Calves should be daily given a tincture out of coltsfoot leaves prepared at the ratio of 1 portion of grass per 10 portions of water, at 90 - 110 ml/calf thrice daily. Intake of 0.5 - 0.6 g ascorbic acid should last for 5-7 d.
