FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutical technology, pharmacy. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to granulated composition containing 11-[4-[2-(2-hydroxyethyl)ethyl]-1-piperazinyl]dibenzo[b,f][1,4]thiazepine (quetiapine) or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt, preferably quetiapine fumarate, as an active substance and a water-soluble binding agent. Invention relates to a method for preparing this composition and to a method for treatment of patients with nervous system diseases such as psychotic states including schizophrenia.
