titleOfInvention | Method for carrying out cosmetic blepharoplasty |
abstract | FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: method involves making oblique skin incision with muscle layer being captured, the incision running from external eye angle along one of wrinkles. Cutanomuscular layer is separated to inferior orbit edge level. Horizontal skin incision is done along ciliated edge towards the internal eye angle. Fat hernias and excesses of skin as a strip along upper musculocutaneous flap edge and as a triangle near external eye angle are exposed and excised. Sutures are placed over musculocutaneous incision. Lateral edge of inferior eyelid is strengthened by pulling palpebral portion of orbital muscle 1.5-2 mm towards the external angle with interrupted suture in conducting needle and thread in turn through the palpebral portion of orbital muscle, external eye commissure and external orbital periosteum edge. The needle is brought outwards and returned back through periosteum, commissure and muscle to a point being 1.5-3 mm far from in-pierce point in tying suture. n EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; excluded round eyes syndrome or inferior eyelid ectropion. n 3 cl |
