titleOfInvention Method of regenerating organic phase used in uranium extraction process
abstract FIELD: radioactive substance technology. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to uranium dioxide powder preparation technology and can be used in extraction refining of uranium. Organic phase, in particular tributyl phosphate, is treated with ammonium fluoride solution (10-50 g/L), after which uranium and organic phase hydrolysis products are isolated from solution. Isolation of uranium and products of hydrolysis of organic phase components is accomplished by treatment of spent ammonium fluoride solution with 20-22% aqueous ammonia solution at 30-60 о С to final pH value 10-12 followed by separation of ammonium fluoride salt of uranium containing products of hydrolysis of organic phase components. After separation of uranium and indicated products, ammonium fluoride content in solution is properly adjusted and solution is reused for regeneration of organic phase. n EFFECT: achieved complete washing away of extractant from hydrolytic decomposition products and reuse of solution. n 3 cl
