titleOfInvention | Method for surgical treating terminal painful glaucoma |
abstract | FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology. n SUBSTANCE: a needle connected with an inactive electrode should be introduced into patient's deltoid muscle being on the side of affected eye. The second needle should be introduced into orbita towards ciliary node and optic nerve. One should introduce active electrode connected with frequency generator 500 kHz into needle's canal. Stimulation with current ranged 50-75 imp/sec should be carried out at 0.2-0.5 V tension. One should detect location of ciliary node and optic nerve to destruct them due to increasing the temperature at the end of active electrode up to 90 C. After destroying ciliary node and optic nerve one should introduce 0.7-1.0 ml glycerol into retrobulbar space. The method enables to interrupt pain syndrome and save patient's eye as a cosmetic organ. n EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy. n 1 cl, 1 ex |
