titleOfInvention Method for preventing increased intraocular pressure in patients with pseudoexfoliative syndrome and open-angle glaucoma at "low incision"-type of cataractous surgery
abstract FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology. n SUBSTANCE: one should perform conjunctival incision followed by sinusoidal scleral incision for two third of its thickness, form scleral tunnel with an exit into cornea and lancing of anterior chamber. Corneal 10-h-paracentesis is carried out. Under scleral overhang of sinusoidal incision one should localize Schlemm's canal and lance its external wall, implant IOL, through corneal paracentesis introduce catheters into anterior chamber: one catheter should be introduced into anterior chamber, another one, with diameter being larger against Schlemm's canal lumen, into Schlemm's canal. Then comes hydrodissection of Schlemm's canal and trabecular washing out. The method enables to decrease the risk of intraocular pressure increase and eliminate the block of intertrabecular fissures. n EFFECT: higher efficiency of prophylaxis. n 1 ex
