titleOfInvention Surgical method for treating the cases of dystrophic diseases of retina and optic nerve
abstract FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: method involves building tunnel to posterior eyeball pole in projection above macular area. Magnetic implant manufactured from permanent magnetic polymer material possessing proper magnetic field with magnetic poles alternating on transplant surface is arranged in the built tunnel. The transplant is subjected to external permanent magnetic field action at the third day after operation. The magnetic implant is extrasclerally arranged in the built tunnel manufactured from flexible biodegradable material based on polyurethane, polycaproamide, or water-soluble polyacrylamide containing uniformly distributed powder particles of permanent magnet material of samarium-cobalt or neodymium-iron-boron or samarium-iron-nitrogen system. Magnetic stimulation is carried out as combined interaction of permanent magnetic field of the arranged extrascleral magnetic implant of 3.5-7.0 mTesla units density and external rotating permanent magnetic field of 0.15-0.35 mTesla units density. The external magnetic field action is applied 1 to 3 times a day with external action being 2 to 8 min long in one session. Magnetic implant of 1.0-3.5 mm thickness is extrasclerally arranged. External rotating permanent magnetic field is applied with constant or variable angular speed every 6-24 h with the number of sessions being equal to 10-30. External rotating permanent magnetic field is repeatedly additionally applied in 90-100 days after accomplishing operation. n EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of surgical treatment. n 5 cl
