FIELD: nuclear power engineering; nuclear reactor shutdown process. n SUBSTANCE: proposed reactor shutdown process affording enhanced radiation safety and reduced dose rates in maintenance and repairs of reactor equipment, reduced pollution of relief gases, coolant, internal circulating circuit equipment surfaces by radio nuclides includes reduction of reactor power by means of control and protection system primarily to 50 - 70% of rated value whereupon reactor is allowed to run at this power level for 50 -120 h and after that it is completely shut down. n EFFECT: enhanced operating reliability of fuel assemblies, reduced dose rates on personnel during inspections and repairs. n 1 cl, 10 dwg |
