titleOfInvention Method and device for shortening uterine ligaments
abstract FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. n SUBSTANCE: method involves bringing elongated hollow casing of device close to middle part of ligament. The ligament is caught with spring-loaded compression lips and pulled into elongated casing cavity to the extent of distance equal to half-length to be shortened. Cross-section size of casing cavity is at least twice as large as diameter of round ligament of uterus that contributes to retaining tissues in producing fold. The fold is fixed with removable flexible compression ring thrown over the fold by means of device pusher from elongated casing end. External size of elongated hollow casing at the area occupied by one or several removable flexible compression rings is equal to 3-5 mm. The internal diameter of removable flexible compression ring or of each of removable flexible compression rings diameters is equal to 0.5-2 mm. Maximum cross-section area dimension of removable flexible compression ring or cross-section dimension maximum of each of a set of removable flexible compression rings is not greater than three internal ring diameters length or of each of the rings. n EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; reduced risk of uterine ligament injuries. n 2 cl, 6 dwg
