titleOfInvention | Method for esthetic correction of inferior eyelids |
abstract | FIELD: medicine, surgery. n SUBSTANCE: one should make inclined incision of skin by capturing muscular layer coming by leaving against external ocular angle along one of the patient's wrinkles. One should separate cutaneous-muscular layer up to the level of tarso-orbital fascia. Then one should perform horizontal incision of skin along ciliary edge towards internal ocular angle. Excessive parts of tarso-orbital fascia should be collected into a fold coming from external to internal ocular angle being parallel to ciliary edge. Then this fold should be folded along the whole length inside by adapting its edges with blanket suture out of absorbable material. Excessive skin should be dissected as a strip along superior edge of cutaneous-muscular layer and as a triangle - at external ocular angle. Sutures should be applied onto cutaneous-muscular incision. In peculiar case, inclined cutaneous-muscular incision should be performed by leaving about 1.5-2 mm against external ocular angle being 7-12 mm length. In peculiar case, excessive parts of tarso-orbital fascia should be folded inside as a fold of 3-6 mm width and 2-2.5 mm length depending upon the degree of fascial tension. In peculiar case, one should apply biosorb 6-0 to adapt fold's edges of tarso-orbital fascia. In peculiar case, one should dissect a strip of muscular tissue of 0.5-1.0 mm width along superior edge of cutaneous-muscular fragment. The present innovation enables to decrease traumaticity level and prevent relapses of fatty hernias. n EFFECT: higher efficiency of correction. n 4 cl, 2 ex |
