titleOfInvention Method for surgical treating severe forms of retinal detachment
abstract FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology. n SUBSTANCE: subtotal vitrectomy followed by peripheral retinotomy should be carried out. PFOS should be introduced into vitreous cavity for 2-5 d and after its removal vitreous cavity should be filled with sterile air, then one should add 0.1-0.2 ml 0.25%-indocyanine green and 1-2 ml PFOS. In 1-2 min PFOS and a dyestuff should be removed. PFOS should be introduced till complete tamponade of vitreous cavity. One should remove dyed preretinal hyaloid layers of vitreous body and internal boundary membrane. Laserocoagulation should be conducted along the edge of retinotomy at 0.15-0.25 mV power. The method enables to provide complete removal of earlier unremovable membranes, that, in its turn, prevents disorganization of vitreous residues and traction impact of vitreous body onto retinotomy edges. n EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy. n 1 ex
