titleOfInvention Composite fuel material and its manufacturing process
abstract FIELD: manufacture of composite fuel materials. n SUBSTANCE: composite fuel material has plutonium dioxide base fissionable material and inert thinner. In addition it has fissionable material in the form of oxides of lower actynoids (americium and/or neptunium, and/or curium) in the amount of 1 to 40% of plutonium dioxide content. Inert thinner is porous zirconium carbide, proportion of ingredients being as follows, mass percent: fissionable material, 10-75; zirconium carbide, the rest. Process for producing composite fuel material includes preparation of fissionable materials and inert thinner. Then inert thinner is subjected to repeated impregnation with organometallic complexes or sols, or solutions of plutonium nitrates and lower actynoids. Material is subjected to heat treatment in two stages. n EFFECT: reduced amount of wastes, reduced cost, provision for in-process control of fissionable material composition. n 2 cl, 1 tbl, 3 ex
